Credit Repair Background:
Aaron had default listings and an enquiry on his credit file. The listings happened at a time when he admitted he was making some poor life choices that had him land in gaol.
Aaron let his creditors know he was out of work as he lost his job due to being away from work. He now works at the same place he worked at, at the time of the incident. When he was released, Aaron never went back to his home with his ex-partner, and he believes he did not get all of his mail forwarded, and he may have forgotten to advise creditors of his change of address. As soon as he discovered his debts and defaults, he paid them.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
ANZ Bank refused to respond to MyCRA Lawyers’ request for information.
Why was the listing removed?
After MyCRA Lawyers’ initial request was sent, ANZ sent correspondence stating that they had agreed to remove the default however they only mentioned one of the account numbers. Our Law Firm received instructions from Aaron to lodge an FOS complaint. After the complaint was lodged, ANZ contacted MyCRA Lawyers to advise that both of the listings had been removed.
Summary:
Aaron was referred to MyCRA Lawyers by his mortgage broker. He engaged MyCRA Lawyers to investigate the likelihood of removals of 3 default listings and an enquiry listing on his credit file. These listings were the direct result of the time he was out of work as he lost his job due to being away from work. Aaron only discovered the bad credit default listings when he applied for finance and was declined. MyCRA Lawyers negotiated the successful removal of his bad credit default listing in 84 days. Aaron* is now a step closer to achieving a finance approval. Congratulations Aaron and good luck!
