Credit Repair Background:
Craig had a credit card a account with Westpac which was part of the finance package when he was granted a home loan by Westpac. In January 2014 he moved house when he and his wife separated. Craig met with the bank manager and advised they had seperated and that his ex-wife was living in the house and covering the mortgage and then also looked at borrowing to cover the debt but was knocked back. He received a call from Westpac advising the payments were behind in which he advised that he and his wife were separating and would be paid on settlement. Craig was contacted by Lion Finance who would ring him occasionally querying how he was going.
During the phone discussions, he notified Lion Finance he was going through a separation with his ex-wife and repeatedly informed Lion Finance that when his property settles, he intended to pay out the credit card debt.
All the mail were being sent to his ex-wife who never told him about the mail.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
