Credit Repair Background:
David went through a messy divorce and moved out of his marital home. David suffered financial and emotional hardship following this and his family business went into liquidation. David knew that the account was overdue but he could not afford to pay the minimum monthly amount. ANZ called him to remind him of the outstanding amount and he advised them that he could not afford repayments. David eventually ended up with 4 defaults with different creditors as a result of his financial hardship.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
ANZ provided a letter with a reference number, however, no mention of a client’s name was on it. Our office contacted ANZ regarding this and they advised that the request for documents was sent through to the wrong department and it was forwarded to the corrections department who will take up to 30 days to respond.
Why was the listing removed?
ANZ investigated the matter following MyCRA Lawyers involvement and confirmed the default would be removed.
Summary:
David contacted MyCRA Lawyers as he wanted his credit file cleaned up as he had 4 default listings. We managed to negotiate removal of his default in 3 days and he is one step closer to getting his finance. Congratulations David and good luck!
