Credit Repair Background:
Jane* moved out of the apartment that she lived with a flat mate and forgot to inform Origin that she moved. Jane* was never contacted by phone about the account and so she forgot about it. She found out about the default listing when she applied for a home loan.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
Origin responded promptly MyCRA Lawyers however there was a delay in the default removal from Jane’s* Dun and Bradstreet report. We eventually received confirmation of the removal directly from Dun and Bradstreet rather then Origin themselves.
Why was the listing removed?
It was noted that the name on the notices were incorrectly spelt. A complaint was sent to Origin regarding sending notices to the incorrect person. Origin then requested a copy of Jane’s* credit file to show the listing and correct spelling of her name and it was revealed that the listing was not Jane’s*.
Summary:
Jane* was referred to our office by her mortgage broker. She advised she had some problems with her credit file. We managed to negotiate removal of her default and Jane* can now move forward financially. Congratulations Jane* and good luck!
