Credit Repair Background:
Kam suffered hardship when her husband died and she lost her job. They used Vodafone for internet but there were many disputes as to the service, the billing and gouging excess charges. They received no notices about the defaults. They did move but always had full mail redirects.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
ACM Group refused to remove the default at the time of the investigation.
Why was the listing removed?
The notices were sent to Kam's old address. MyCRA Lawyers lodged a TIO complaint and the grounds raised were that bill was still in dispute when listed, notices sent to incorrect last known address, 21D notice used the term may and not will or intends, Vodafone did not make enough reasonable attempts. Vodafone found that notices were not sent to correct last known address and they agreed to remove the default.
Summary:
Kam engaged MyCRA Lawyers to investigate the likelihood of removal of 2 default listings on her credit file. These listings were the direct result of the time she disputed the network's service and she also suffered hardship as her husband died and she had lost her job. Kam only discovered the bad credit default listings when she applied for finance and was declined. MyCRA Lawyers negotiated the successful removal of her bad credit default listing in 184 days and Kam* can now confidently apply for finance as her two default listings were removed. Congratulations Kam and good luck!
