Credit Repair Background:
Karen had an account with AGL, and she was confident she finalised the account when she left her property. AGL rang her about the overdue account, and she advised AGL that she thought she finalised the account, yet AGL said she did not. She requested AGL to send her the account. She received a letter dated 9 June but didn’t collect mail until some time after as she was sick. She knew about the default when she was rejected a loan claim. Karen called AGL and paid the overdue amount and was advised that AGL would provide her a letter to give to her bank to show she has paid it. They told Karen that it would take a while for the default to be removed, however, they never removed it.
