Credit Repair Background:
Laura was listed with a commercial default when it was work undertaken as a consumer. Laura had the work done in her private name, on a property where the title and mortgage is in her private name (consumer transaction). She had electrical work done in her kitchen, and there was a fire not long after which was due to the electrical work. This was fixed by another tradesman. She refused to pay the invoice from the first electrician because of this incident. She has not signed any paperwork or agreements with the Electricians giving them permission to access her credit information/file.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
None. The Electricians’s Director responded to our request for documentation.
Why was the listing removed?
The Electricians were unable to produce sufficient documentary evidence and they removed the default listing.
Summary:
Laura was referred to our office by her mortgage broker. Laura wanted her default removed as she wanted to apply for a loan. We managed to negotiate removal of her default listing in 3 days and Laura can now move forward financially. Congratulations Laura and good luck!
