Credit Repair Background:
Michael* had taken out the phone and contract for a friend of his as his friend could not get a phone. The account was setup at his friend’s address. Unfortunately, his friend never paid the account. Michael* was out of work due to an injury and therefore was not working his usual hour at the time of the listing. He tried explaining this to Vodafone at that time and now has paid the money in full.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
There were no issues with the creditor as they responded to our Law Firm requests in a timely manner.
Why was the listing removed?
Our team informed Vodafone of the circumstances that surrounded Michael* at the time of the listing. Vodafone requested a stat dec to outline his hardship why payments were delayed which eventually led to a default. Vodafone requested removal of default once this was done.
Summary:
Michael* was referred to our office by his mortgage broker. He applied for finance as he is looking to purchase a property but got declined. We managed to negotiate removal of his default listing in 135 days and Michael* can now confidently apply for home loan. Congratulations Michael* and good luck!
