Credit Repair Background:
Paul had a credit card account with Westpac. He only found out about the default listing through his broker because he wanted to buy land. When asked about the listing Paul had some missed calls from private numbers but no messages so he did not know who rang. He had received no emails from Westpac either. He had been busy with family issues this year as his mum had cancer and he was in the hospital many days with her.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
Westpac requested payment for the requested documents. Lion Finance then rang and advised that the Westpac account had been sold to them on 30 June 2016 and that the default that Westpac have placed on the account has yet to be converted across.
Why was the listing removed?
Lion Finance agreed to the removal of the listing after communications with MyCRA Lawyers.
Summary:
Paul contacted MyCRA Lawyers that he has been listed again with a default without his knowledge. He required the default removed from his credit file. We managed to negotiate removal of his default in 68 days and Paul can now move forward financially. Congratulations Paul and good luck!
