Credit Repair Background:
Helen* contacted MyCRA Lawyers to have several credit enquiries removed from her credit file. This particular enquiry resulted from when Helen’s broker was discussing finance options with her and making enquiries on her behalf. Helen asked her broker (no longer employed by the company) if these enquiries would show on her credit file. Helen’s broker assured her that because he was “just giving a scenario to them” (or words to that effect) that no enquiries would be listed. This proved to be a misleading statement, as Helen’s former Broker did, in fact, make enquiries that would result in records on her credit file.
What were any challenges with the creditor?
Axess Today stipulated that the listing was valid and refused to remove the enquiry.
Why was the listing removed?
MyCRA Lawyers raised issues with Axess Today that Helen alleged that she was misled by her former broker. MyCRA Lawyers provided a stat dec to Axess Today’s solicitors. The assertions from MyCRA Lawyers, coupled with our discussions with Axess Today resulted in an agreement for removal.
Summary:
Helen engaged MyCRA Lawyers to investigate the likelihood of removal of several consumer and commercial enquiries and default listings on her credit file. She is trying to buy her home from her daughter and needed the listings removed so that she can apply for finance. MyCRA Lawyers negotiated the successful removal of her bad credit enquiry listing in 122 days. Helen is now a step closer to achieving a finance approval. Congratulations Helen and good luck!
