A Few TIPS:

Let’s take a look at number 43 on the list, “letmein”
It’s pretty easy to make this password stronger.
If we just add spaces “letmein” goes from an instant crack to “let me in” which https://howsecureismypassword.net/ says would now take 5 hours to crack.

What about a few more changes, like adding a capital letter or two…
“Let me in” would take approx 2 weeks
“Let Me in” would still take approx 2 weeks, as would
“Let Me In”.
But, if we change the “i” in the “in” to a “1”, the 2 weeks goes to 1 month (“Let Me 1n”).

What about ‘special characters’? (not all password systems allow special characters)
the simple act of putting () around the original ‘letmein’ password, takes it from an instant crack to 2 hours, but adding the () to our 1 month version has a major impact…
“(Let Me 1n)” will take approx 5 Thousand Years to crack

BUT,
What if your password doesn’t allow spaces?
Let’s take another look:

“LetMeIn” is cracked instantly
“LetMe1n” is cracked instantly
“Le7Me1n” is cracked in 1 Minute
“Le7M31n” is cracked in 1 Minute
“L37M31n” is cracked in 1 Minute

This shows that the password is simply too short to be effective, so let’s look at an easy way to make is stronger but just using letters and numbers.

“letmeinplease”, just adding ‘please’ takes it to 2 years!
“LetMeInPlease”, adding the CAPS, takes it to 16 THOUSAND YEARS
and “ThisIsMyLinkedInPassword” would take 12 SEXTILLION YEARS to crack according to https://howsecureismypassword.net/

So in my humble opinion, the takeaway here is:

1. Check the strength of your passwords
2. Make them longer to make them stronger
3. Use different passwords for different logins
