    Credit Repair Background:
    The default is from a labour hire company called MC Labour, and they defaulted Build & Co in July 2017. Build & Co had a client that owed them a large sum of money. The account they had with the client was 7 days however the monies were not paid for almost 3 months. No notices were received from the creditor and no notice received of the new creditor, Atradius, taking over the debt.

    What were any challenges with the creditor?
    The MC Labour representative that MyCRA Lawyers have been corresponding with was on extended leave.

    Why was the listing removed?
    MyCRA Lawyers drafted settlement deed. Build & Co to make a payment of $8000 and on receipt of these funds MC Labour would remove the default listing. Within 15 business days of confirmation of the removal, Build & Co to pay the remaining balance. MC Labour agreed to these terms.

    Credit Repair Background:
    The creditor, Cleanaway provided bin services to Mmonza Living. Mmonza Living disputed the bills as they were double charged for pickups. This had happened previously and they needed it to be fixed so they requested for their account representative from Cleanaway to see them. On top of the double charges there were some other bills that were not paid, but they included credit issues. Their requests to see their account manager were never met.

    Cleanaway refused to remove the listing at the time of the investigation.

    Why was the listing removed?
    MyCRA Lawyers lodged an OAIC complaint based on the fact that the debt was in dispute and provided Cleanaway with a settlement offer on Mmonza’s behalf. The offer was that Mmonza pays the account, minus the disputed amount, and withdraws the OAIC and in return Cleanaway removes the default. Cleanaway made a counter offer that if the full amount was paid, and the OAIC is withdrawn; they would remove the default. Mmonza accepted the counter offer.

    Credit Repair Background:
    Kam suffered hardship when her husband died and she lost her job. They used Vodafone for internet but there were many disputes as to the service, the billing and gouging excess charges. They received no notices about the defaults. They did move but always had full mail redirects.
