Who knew we would go from where we were to where we are now

Who knew we would go from where we were to where we are now?

If another staff member said to me 2 years ago that in 2 years, our processes would change and we will find bigger and better ways to remove defaults – I would not have believed them.

Given that I played a big part in the processes changing and implementing, if I looked back, I would not believe that I would have had it in me to accomplish such a task as an individual, but also as part of a team.

We are constantly looking at how to improve, and how to challenge not only ourselves but to expand our knowledge.

On average, every second day, another staff member would come to me with an idea on how to improve. Most of these changes are implemented, and because of that, we are a lot quicker, and have a smoother process in removing defaults.

So when I sit back and think to myself: “who knew that we would be here now?” I wonder at the accomplishments that MyCRA Lawyers was able to achieve.

We are just like any other business – we have highs and lows. But we enjoy the small things and take the big things seriously – whether that would be having banter in the office over which lip gloss is better or if we are building a case against a creditor.

But what was the reason for this change?

“These guys really help us brokers especially as we seem to come up against a credit impaired client at least once a week.

One of my clients recently wanted to re-finance and went to the NAB, they told him he had a $4,127.00 paid default that he knew nothing about. He also had a court Judgement from 2005. Funny enough, they said no.

As it happens, the client had a dispute with a creditor, he won the argument and paid the bill and was unaware that the creditor had listed him on his CRAA.

When I got the client, he told me about the CRAA and we talked about getting it fixed. We did the numbers and it made good financial sense. If we could get him placed as nonconforming, the rate would be much higher and the LVR much lower… Getting his CRAA fixed was a lot better solution.

I have now settled on this deal. The client is very happy with his standard rate and I got paid too. ($843,214.00 Re-finance)”

Why was the listing removed?
Our team informed Vodafone of the circumstances that surrounded Daniel at the time of the listing. They were completely understanding of his situation and understood why he was not able to discuss his circumstances with them at the time. They requested a stat dec to outline his hardship and removed the default once this was provided.
