I consider myself fortunate to not only know the FBAA’s CEO Peter White, but I also call him a friend.

In the years I’ve known Peter, he has been unwaveringly focused on bettering the environment for brokers in Australia.

I have just read about Peter in discussions with the Assistant Treasurer about unjust clawbacks.

It’s been many years since I was a Mortgage Broker and I’m sure you’re probably aware of the great work Peter and the FBAA Executive have achieved to directly benefit the Finance Brokers of Australia.  This work is something Peter is passionate about and he describes himself as being like “A Dog With A Bone” that he will not let go of.

“You can call me the proverbial dog with a bone on this issue but I will not let it rest,” he said.

“I outlined the FBAA’s concerns to Minister O’Dwyer about the unfairness of ‘non-contract-breach’ clawbacks and discussed ways to resolve the inequity of broker clawbacks.”
