Credit Repair Background:
Michael was working FIFO and decided to move back home to save money. Michael’s housemate did not pay the final rent payment when they moved out (and Michael was away), but the lease was in Michael’s name causing him to get the default.

What were any challenges with the creditor?
Panthera Finance were adamant that the default listing was placed correctly and refused to remove the default.

Why was the listing removed?
Panthera Finance rejected Michael’s claims that he advised Origin to update his address but they failed to do so. Furthermore, they rejected the argument that Origin did not have Michael’s consent to disclose his information to a CRB. Origin offered to remove the default if Michael paid the account in full, but then realised that Michael had already done so and they removed the default.

Summary:
